2010 Theme
Breakthrough to a New YOU!

What an exciting time it is to be serving Jesus! As we embark upon on a New Year, I challenge each of you to heed the call of our theme for 2010: Breakthrough to a Better You! In each of our lives, there are barriers that limit us from being better. There are things we know we need to change, sacrifices we ought to make and sins which so easily beset us. In many of our lives, we have simply accepted being limited by these things.
In Jesus, however, God has given us the power to be over comers. There is a better you just waiting to break through the barriers which have limited you for so long. There are things you CAN do and changes you CAN make that are beyond what you could ever think possible. Paul put it this way, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). The power of the Holy Ghost is working within each of us! The things we know we need to change and the obstacles we know we need to break through are possible if we tap into the power that worketh in us!
The greatest obstacle is that of our minds. If we could somehow believe and resolve to live out this verse, there is no telling how much better each of us could be by the end of 2010! We could be better in our marriages, parenting, friendships, money management, physical and emotional health, and our spiritual lives if we would simply reformat our minds to believe and live out Eph. 3:20. We don’t have to be conformed to the mindset of our world which accepts mediocrity and defeat in these areas. We don’t have to search for excuses for our faults. Let’s break through them! We are instructed in Romans 12:2 to “be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
You don’t have to be the best, but you can be better!
